Available Board Positions

We are anticipating several board positions will be vacant at the end of this season. This is a great way to get to know new families at GKHAT and participate in your child’s ski team. We are a welcoming team, and have a place for anyone who is interested in participating. No experience with ski racing or previous board membership is necessary. Members will be elected to board positions at the AGM.

While all board positions are up for re-election annually, anticipated vacancies will be:

Members At Large (3 positions)
Secretary
President
Vice President
IT/Registrar shadowing with view to learn this position

GKHAT’s AGM is scheduled for Saturday, April 17, 2021 at 4:00 PM. This year’s AGM will be held virtually so anyone can attend. Mark your calendars!

GKHAT Rotary Bingo Fundraiser

In other exciting news, GKHAT has received support from Golden’s Rotary Club to receive funds from an upcoming weekly online Bingo. While we do not have a confirmed date yet, please follow “Rotary Community Online Bingo” on facebook to receive notifications and try playing with your family in the coming weeks to support other worthy community organizations.

2020 Season Recap

At this time, we would like to recognize the spectacular efforts of our GKHAT coaches, volunteers, athletes and parents for working so hard to have the best possible season in 2020. We couldn’t have done it without you! Thank you to all for being so positive and adapting to the many changes needed to keep us on snow.

This season, we coached 90+ athletes on snow, rolled out our new ski cross course, and tested out our new and improved timing system.
Coach Ryan won the BC Alpine Coach of the Year for his hard work making GKHAT into the amazing club that it is.
The Ski Academy had its debut year with high school athletes training midweek at racing and free-skiing all season.

Thank you to all our amazing sponsors: Dogtooth, Sagelink, Gurski Electric, Selkirk Sports, Kardash Plumbing, CBT, ViaSport who have made this challenging season possible and supported our athletes.

We are already looking forward to making Season 2021 our best ever!
