U10 Program (Birth Year 2016 - 2017)

The GKHAT U10 program is for skiers who want to develop strong skiing skills, have fun with their friends, and learn through a combination of race training environments, race events, and all mountain skiing.

At this age, we begin to sharpen our focus on fun technical skiing in race environments and all mountain skiing. 

Through the season we host 2-3 GKHAT club race events which are a part of this program.  In addition, athletes have the option to travel to other local hills for Nancy Greene Festivals and races hosted by our neighbouring clubs. These events are always a fun addition to the season and can help develop team spirit and a love for the sport.

• Age Requirement: 
  • U10's must have a birth year of 2016 - 2017
• Prerequisite:
  • U10 skiers must be able to ski with confidence and control on advanced terrain ( Show-off, Feuz Bowl, Double Header, etc). 
• Weeks: 14
• Hours on Snow: 84
• Program Dates:
  • Program Starts Date: Dec 12-14, 2025.
  • Program Ends Date: March 20-22, 2026
• Programs: Can choose a 1 day or 2 day program. Program options are as follows:

  • Saturday Program
  • Sunday Program
  • Friday/Saturday 2-Day Program
  • Friday/Sunday 2-Day Program
  • Saturday/Sunday 2-Day Program
  • Daily Start/End Times: 9:00 am - 2:30 pm
• Location:
  • Program based at Kicking Horse Mountain Resort. Start and End meeting location is at the GKHAT Yurt located behind the day lodge.
• Kicking Horse Hosted Race Events:
  • Annual GKHAT cookie cup.
  • Annual club year-end ski-tacular event.
• Away Race:
  • Registration includes pre-paid race fees for the Kimberley Nancy Green Festival in March 2026

Cost (1 day fee): $1005.00

Cost (2 day fee): $1417.50

Not included in Program Fees: Equipment, Lift passes/tickets, Race Entry fees/costs.  

Additional Fees: BC Alpine fees (charged once per family and once per athlete)
